Just put all the tomatoes I rescued from the blighty plants on paper in the spare room to ripen a bit. Didn't realise I had this many :o - considering they were all from freebie seeds! ;D (The paper's a broadsheet if anyone wants scale.)
Most are Cream Sausage (courtesy of Marshalls) and the rest Sungella (Amateur Gardening) and I haven't room for the Gartenperles!!!

Any funny colours are probably due to the Bordeaux mixture which I haven't washed off yet - I want them to ripen fully before I get them wet... in case there's any lurking spores. Then I can wash them and pack them in the freezer before anything rots!

hi Moonbells,
When did they go blighty? A few of mine started yesterday morning - sent eldest child out to defoliate completely while I was at work - hopefully I've saved most but there is a upturned table in the garden ripening off the others. :-\
I feel a Sunday chutney session looming!

About a week ago - they seem to have got the ones in the dip first and have been moving upwards. Oddly, the stems have gone before the foliage - which is why I didn't notice at first. Then went back with emergency Bordeaux mixture and gave them a good spraying, but I think possibly too late. The thunderstorm gave it perfect conditions and suddenly lots of the plants were looking ropy.
Lots of folk are now having to rescue theirs quickly, though some of the newbies haven't touched quite-obviously blighted tomatoes so there's a pool of infection that needs to be removed but I don't think they even know there's anything wrong!
I feel an article in the Grower coming on...

Do you know- I wondered if it was the thunder and pressure.
Mine started with patches on the stems and a few marked fruits, very little foliage damage. I sent OH over this morning before work to take off any more branches, I just want to get some ripened on the vine before the show on Saturday, then I'm not so bothered - I'll just strip them all and ripen in the garden!
I look forward to the article, you know we ought to take The Grower by the scruff a bit - I would like to know more about what other people are doing etc - what works, what doesn't and where, there is really nothing useful in there for the newbie.
Shang-hai?  ;)
