Does anyone know where I can get seeds to grow butter beans? it's about the only bean I like.
I don't think they grow in this country - not seen any for sale or I'd have some too (OH's fave bean too)
Sorry, but hope I'm wrong

Hi you can buy seeds from this Heirloom veg website - they are from America and are called Lima Beans over there -good luck! :)
OOps forgot to add the address!!!!!!!! It is -- http://www.seedfest.co.uk/seeds/beans/beans.html
They have a UK division too, but there was a post a while back about someone not receiving their order
I was the one who never got the order from seedfest.
They finally shipped it, about 2 months after i ordered it, with no note of apology.
Won't be using them again !
Thanks Martha, I couldn't remember where the post was

There's a runner bean called 'Czar' which you can leave to form beans. These are white and a good butter bean substitute. The pods are good too!
