Hi all,
The August competition is open for entries, and in response to some questions I've received, some rules  ...
- The picture you enter can be of any subject not only garden / allotment related.
- It must have been taken by you during the month of the competition, so during August (this year!) for this months.
- I am limiting the competition to one entry per member per month.
Hope everyone understands and we continue to get excellent photographs entered.
Oh and lastly, good luck everyone.
Dan

The River Deben
Ooh nice one TL
This is a shot of Colwyn Bay from Rhos-on-Sea in Wales.
Great composition, and colours 2-spot :D is it a Globe Artichoke flower?
Good use of the walkboards in your shot, UP, but are they as unsafe as they look?! Wouldn't catch me going along them, not unless I fancied a swim! ;D
LOL! They're really safe! Been there for I don't know how long, it's where I spent many happy days as kiddie. When tide comes up, you can dive into pool at end. One of my favouritist places. Lovely pics you 2, first attempt at proper, grown up photo for me!!! Lottie ;D
Doubt this will win but the closest I've come to a picture worth entering! One of those moments that you grab whe it comes before everything changes and hope it works out !
Awww that's lovely, Icy. Lottie ;D

It's a wee bit bugging having to scroll from side to side for a good look at the picture.
Not to mention how it takes the edge off of trying get a good old gander at it.
Glyn, that's a gorgeous photograph. Really lifting.
Thanks all - But the credit must go to the "Parks & Recreation Dep of Brantford" Who put in a great display every year. In fact, won the "Best Bloomin City"Â award about four times in a row.
Glad you like the photo....

Yellow Petals-I've got the same problem here--the web window has got quite a bit larger ???
Ina and EJ, great pictures! I love the colours and clarity of the veg Ina. The grapes are so in focus and perfectly framed it could be a picture ni a restaurant wall or wine advert! Both brilliant, most impressed. iain

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I'm after the sympathy vote.

I'm entering this one because it makes me laugh!
Trying not to win the 'soft, fluffy and cute' vote!! Poor little wasp ... clever spider!!

FANTASTIC HELDI!!! ;D ;D ;D
Some very good pics so far. I really like E-J's grapes but Possum's voting for Heldi's sheep. Sorry, Lord Steve, she really doesn't like spiders even in good photos.
Great pictures Folks! Good a standard as ever.
I did think than after so much choice last month that i didnt have much (again) except for pictures of the garden (which are generaly taken for my own use not for competition). But on reflection I have plenty of choice!
EDIT: Entry Below
Wow Steve what a brilliant photograph, wd!
This is my humble entry.  ;D
