All efforts to keep the rain off were well worth while
Are those Black Russian?
"Tschernomor Black" they're called but they are Russian and black, lovely too
...and Apricot Brandywine? or White Queen? or...
And a coin ...I wish I could grow money...
ooo ooo...what are your yellow/apricot coloured beefsteaks please? I have some and the label says Super Marmande, but they can't be......so what could they be??
Mine the same, kept the rain off, plenty of air circulation, Bordeaux only 3 times, and no blight and more toms than you can shake a ketchup covered stick at! Made a couple of pints of ketchup today, along with mincing a load and cooking it down for sauces and still have a huge trug full! Happy harvesting days!!
They're "Yellow Brandywine", only sprayed once.
The fridge, my belly & both freezers are all bulging ;D ;D ;D happy days
This being my first year with tomatoes I stuck to Mr Titchmarsh's Organic Gardeners Delight which have done wonderfully but I'm looking with interest at all the toms you guys are growing here for what to do next year. These look great and some more names to add to the list of possibilities.

They look nice. Whats the flavour of the yellow ones like? Mine are pretty tastless for some reason.
The taste is very good for a yellow, they never have quite as much acid as the reds but this one isn't far off
WOW - what whoppas!!.....well done M.T.
well done happy eating
