You can eat them tennis ball size and they are delish. Sometimes you don't want a massive amount all at once so small is beautiful :)

Pristine, Roy. But it's generally a good ploy to bend a leaf over the curd - otherwise it can easily go a nasty yellow.
The first time I grew caulis I picked most of them when they were really small, then regretted it as the odd one I missed grew a lot bigger. I always leave them till they're well-developed now.

Roy the homegrown sweetcorn is fantastic but you must eat it as soon as you cut it (something to do with starch or some such thing). We have just started eating our and it's gorgeous. I wish it would grow all year round :)
'All the year round' sounds like the variety.
I have a couple of 'late june' plants that I am trying to nurse, and aren't expected to do anything until next spring! I hope I get a cauli of my very own :)
