Title: Cracked skins & Chilli Harvest
Post by: quinny on August 28, 2005, 12:08:28
Hopefully some one can help me out with a couple of questions I have:-

I've just pulled up a few desiree spuds and the seem to be fine apart from cracked skins, anyone know what would cause this?  Some are fine and smooth but the majority have these small cracks over them - nothing really bad though...

My chillis are about 3 inches long  if I pull them off the plant just now will it produce more from the remaining flowers? Or should I just leave them all on and harvest them at end of the season?

Any help would be great.

Thanks guys.

Chillies?

What sort? Are they red or green? Do you want red & green?

Hi Tim,

I think they were called Cayenne chilli's not sure what colour they were meant to produce. The ones I picked were green but I'm happy with any colour.

I picked two off yesterday - ate one and there was no kick.  Ate the second one today and it nearly blew my head off.

Cheers.
