Sheffield Botanic Gardens is having a weekend of displays and events involving art in the garden. Anything from water colours and sculpture to performance art. Take a chance to see the restored glasshouses too.
Clarkehouse Rd Sheffield. 10.30am. to 5.30pm. each day.
Ta for that :) I went last year I think it was - just after Prince Charles opened it. It's lovely and the park was full of women and children all having picnics on the grass. The tea rooms were at bursting point too. It was buzzing :) It's right in the city though so all the better :) I enjoyed the glasshouses too. Well worth a visit and I shall definitely return :)
I have recently been to Clumber Park kitchen garden and they have open evenings with food tastings this month and next so think I'll be going back there soon. The Head Gardener was telly the other day :)
Well, it was a great venue for an art exhibition, and all the works were for sale. Glorious sunny weather both days, was I really in Sheffield.? Sold a few things myself too!
Nobody from A4A came by though. It was such a success the council are falling over themselves to do it again next year. May see you then.
