With the glut imminent, PLEASE forget the traditional ragoût - go for Delia's every time!!
(Before cooking!)
we eat something like that for dinner every Wednesday. Mr aqui's favourite. i roast whatever veggies we have (but not mushrooms and leafy things!) with olive oil and balsamic. Lovely with pasta.
I wish we had a glut of anything! :'(
Roll on my aubergines!
One of my favourite foods of all time! Made the Delia Lasagne with roasted veg the other night - spot on!
This is where long aubs come in - you get small, identifiable pieces.
Do they need to be identifiable?
Ratouille is supposed to be a bit chunky :)
roasted veggies....mmmm one of my faves....I did something similar last night and added thick chunks of already cooked Waitrose 'speciality' sausages half hour before end of cooking....had some garlic & coriander cous cous with it....divine :P
H.P.
Yes HP Sossies go very well in a tomatoey stew type combo :) I've been sausage hunting today as I want to do my own celebration of National Sausage Week at my B & B so my quest to find the best sossies has begun :)
bj - traditionally, as I say, it's a ragoût - but I believe that Delia has set a new standard - & everything - as in roast root veg - should be identifiable??
And the thin aubs are perfect for that.

Have to agree, made it last night and even my Meat n Potato Hubby LOVED it and said I can make it again anytime!
Next time I shall try Delias Ratatouille, thank you Tim ;DÂ
Oh and which one do you use, stove top or oven roasted? DP
Me? Didn't know there there was a choice!. Oven for me, since the AGA is always there.
Thanks Tim :-*
