Title: Ratatouille?
Post by: tim on August 26, 2005, 13:11:08
With the glut imminent, PLEASE forget the traditional ragoût - go for Delia's every time!!

(Before cooking!)

we eat something like that for dinner every Wednesday. Mr aqui's favourite. i roast whatever veggies we have (but not mushrooms and leafy things!) with olive oil and balsamic. Lovely with pasta.

I wish we had a glut of anything!  :'(

This is where long aubs come in - you get small, identifiable pieces.

Do they need to be identifiable?

Yes HP  Sossies go very well in a tomatoey stew type combo  :)   I've been sausage hunting today as I want to do my own celebration of National Sausage Week at my B & B  so my quest to find the best sossies has begun  :)

bj - traditionally, as I say, it's a ragoût - but I believe that Delia has set a new standard - & everything - as in roast root veg - should be identifiable??

And the thin aubs are perfect for that.

Have to agree, made it last night and even my Meat n Potato Hubby LOVED it and said I can make it again anytime!
Next time I shall try Delias Ratatouille, thank you Tim  ;D
Oh and which one do you use, stove top or oven roasted? DP
