I have been searching for the logbook my dad had, still no success, but I came across Alan Titchmarsh's gardener's logbook in a charity shop for a £1. So I bought - under lawn diary - there is space for dates for when worms killed :-\
Hmm, and there is a pic of Alan - the logbook published in 1985 !!!
I thought worms were our friends??? Or has that only been for the last 19 years?
People who like a pristine lawn do not like worms - they send up wormcasts and it is far too much like effort to go out with a broom and brush them away. Much easier to annialate the worms in a short sighted blinkered sort of way.
That tetchy enough for you DaisyMay? ;D
When I did the RHS General, we had to learn how to kill worms :'(, places such as bowling greens, golf course, football grounds ;D etc aren't very fond of them, I love them myself, liitle sweeties, but thank God there was no pracical, I couldn't have done it. The whole class was aghast that this subject was being taught, but as part of the syllabus, it had to be gone through. Lottie
