Title: Really dumb potato question - sorry!

Sorry to everyone who's shaking their head and resignedly setting out to explain it yet again  ;D  But ... when people talk about planting potatoes for Christmas and New Year, what kind of potatoes are we talking?

Earlies because they grow from planting and are not dependent on things like light length to prompt them to bulk up.

I'm planting two kestrels and two rockets (they are what I grew this year) in a bin.

   Here are four that I know of, Carlingford, Charlotte Maris Peer and Nicola.    LesH

Can somebody please tell me where to get the potatoes from i have asked at 2 garden centers and one of them looked at me like they had let me out for the day!!  I would really like to try some for Christmas. Help.

You can buy them from Thompson and Morgan seeds
