Title: White fly

Do white fly bite us as Ive got bites on my legs after spraying them.

They are sap sucking aphids, with a piercing mouth part and don't chew, so it's unlikely that you've been bitten by them.

What were you using to spray with? Could be a chemical rash.

Are you sure they're whitefly? (Usually in a glasshouse rather than outside). The only reason I question it is that I worked in a glasshouse with severe whitefly infestation and didn't get bitten at all - and I'm one of those people that normally get eaten alive by gnats etc.
Anyway, I use a combination of Anthisan cream on the bite and take an anti-histamine tablet such as Benadryl, I find this does the trick of relieving the itching and swelling.

Could be cabbage white fly that are different - as far as I know those don't bite either.

All i can say is there were loads of them & they were white.
Or may be a flea of some sort & like you i get nibbled by allsorts must be a good blood grope.

Eat lots of garlic - it puts them off.  I do  :-\

Tis true.  Eating garlic repels fleas and other nasties - that's why it's fed to animals.  My dog loves garlic in his din dins as do we  :)
