Well, Wardy, took your advice and got a scythe!! Isn't she pretty!! ;D It's only a little one, couldn't get a big one in the car......Sad thing is, got far more of a buzz getting this than clothes etc.... :-\ On the black and white theme front, all sorted, little black dress and pearl necklace, boring, but cheap! ;D ;D ;D Lottie
You'll just have to go out and buy yourself a big black cape now!
Oh Aqui!!! You're right, humpph! Tried son's batman one, not quite right....... ;) Lottie ;D
That is smashing Lottie! If you ever spot a left handed one, will you ask the shopkeeper to reserve it for me please ? Or is that handle reversible . . . ? I love using hand tools, but have never got on with a right handed scythe . . . :(
Well I can at least live in hope . . . :D
Derek
That's interesting Derek, I assume then that you are left handed and play a right handed guitar, ??? have you ever thought about changing the strings around the other way? or is that not possible? ???
You lost me too, Derek, easily done though, I suffer from the concentration of a slug..... Surely you just put it in your other hand? Or am I being more dense than normal..... ??? Lottie :-\
cool toy lottie,
about the party, are you sure we can't persuade you to buy a cruella wig?
it won't cost much and you can take it off after you make your entrance.
go on, you know you want to ;D
Tara xx
OK, bit more persuasion........wavering here......where would I get such an object? If I was wavering......which I'm not...or am I? Oh dear....back to drawing board.... :-\ Lovely tool though, eh??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Lottie
If that's a scythe what's a sickle ??? ;D Does it matter? No! ;D
That will go nicely with your little back dress ;D
I thought so, Wardy! Little black dress, pearl necklace, scythe.....just goes together. like strawberries and car oil... ;D ;D ;D Lottie

Ta EJ So I was right then? She has a ickle sickle :)
Size isn't everything, you know.....it's how you use it ;D ;D ;D
Lottie
I agree about size so for goodness sake be careful what you do with that sickle!!!!!!!!!! NO NO LOTTIE!!!!! I just meant we don't want to land up with a shortened version of Lottie. ::) Lorna.
Oops!! Decided twirling probably not wise..... :-\ ;D !! Thanks Lorna, will step away from the sharp implement thingy. Mind you, could don black cape, lurk in shadows of greenhouse and give little thugs a run for their money........ ;) Lottie
Little black dress, pearl necklace .... scythe - that's a disturbing image ;D
On a serious note though, I wouldn't leave that anywhere the 'little dears' could get their hands on it.
Right yes, just catching up here . . .
ok, Yes sickle of course . . . silly me!
Roy, yes I am left handed and play the guitar right handed - don't have any choice on a piano . . . just decided it's a right handed world so I will have to live with it, or pay a disgusting amount just to have a left handed guitar. The construction of a classical guitar is not symmetrical, so restringing it would not sound correct.
Lottie, you sweep in a particular direction to use the sickle? ie anticlockwise?
As a left handed user I would sweep in the opposite direction, and the sickle would therefore be upside down . . . think about it . . . it would point towards the ground because of the angle of the handle . . .
Never mind, I tried ! ! ! :D
Derekthefox :D
Derek,
Browse Anything left-handed.co.uk, gardening & DIY section - £40 buys you a 16" scythe - oh! and you get 5p change ;D
Spensive business, being a southpaw, innit?
Cheers!
Caeggy handed apparently . . . thanks for that link Alishka
If I had a blade, I would make my own sickle, must scrat around at work, see if I can get a decent piece of steel . . .
Thanks though . . .
Derekthefox :D
Apparently that is correct FB, but it has its limitations !
Sorry Lottie, you have my apologies, looks like your thread has been hijacked, now seems to be about lefthanded guitar players ! ! ! ;D
Please don't hit me with your sickle . . . .
Derekthefox :D
Sharpening as we speak...... :o :o :o Kept high on wall in garage, away from little hands.......Lottie ;D
To sharpening? Or lower on garage wall.... ;);D Lottie
I will keep well away too methinks he he he
Derek :D
Yes, Derek why can't you turn your geetar upside down?
Go on, have a go ;D
Upside down and play with teeth, please....... ;D Lottie
Wait.....because he has to retrieve em from the glass ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Thank you for that Jaggy ! ! ! :D
