So has anyone lifted theirs yet? The flowers have died off and the foliage is dying back now but this is definitely earlier for PFA than last year. Hmmm, what to do. Could try lifting one and seeing??? ::)
Lifted a pink fir apple last sunday superb. tasted fantastic and a good crop.

I've grown Cara for the first time this year. The foliage is only just dying down, but I'm going to leave it another 2 weeks before I lift them as I'm off on hols at the weekend :-)
Our PFA are still growing strong, huge foliage! Lifted one about 3 weeks ago and an okay size, but Anya was bigger. Will forget about them for a few more weeks yet.
Like EJ, my PFAs are still flowering and producing more and more foliage so at this rate I won't be digging them up until late October :D.
My Cara's are growing little balls on the foliage so I think they're under stress. Hope it rains tomorrow
They look in fine fettle but the foliage isn't wilting at all so will leave them as I'm still eating the very delish Arran Pilot
Not had a look at my Desirees yet either. I only have to lift a bit of black plastic to have a peep :)
Gulp Wardy - didn't realise those balls were a sign of stress. In which case, maybe I should lift mine as some of the balls are doing better than my tomatoes :(

They might be the fruit of the potato.
Lifted my Pink Fir a few weeks back, they were delicious. The foliage is dying away now. My first year of these and I'm really pleased with them, tasted fantastic! I need a success, my pumkin still hasn't set any fruit. :'( Lottie
I don't regard the fruit as a sign of stress. Quite normal?
But PFA's foliage is a damned nuisance - hence Anya.
It certainly is early to be lifting. But they store well.
My Cara are producing seed as well, so I'm hoping that they're going to 'go over' soon so that I can see what the slugs have left me!! Glad to hear other people's Cara is still in leaf as I was beginning to wonder if I'd done something wrong. All my neighbours' potatoes seem to have been dug up, but then I did plant late.
