Every year we lose Italian Parsley plants - outdoors - in different places - through yellowing off.
Thanks Tim. Mine is Giant Italian and I have played safe by planting them in different places in the garden and it's only going yellow in one place at the mo. I have some in an open topped frame at the lotty and they look very good. I've noticed the outdoors stuff is quite tough but that behind the glass is much softer. So I suppose it's been a good thing to spread them about or do you think they'll all succumb ?

what causes this yellowing?? I have had the same thing happening to my Italian parsley plants for two years running - any thoughts? Can it be helped at all? thanks!

any what if they're in pots or raised beds by themselves?
Don't know ??? I have noticed that the yellowing seems to have spread to my roses so I think I'll get the plant food out to see if it has any effect :)
This may be carrot motley dwarf virus which also affects parsley.
Plant it in another location, and avoid overwintering it or planting in early spring. Your best chance is to sow in early spring away from the plot, and plant out when it gets hotter, say, May/June. Then remove plants in Autumn.
No chemical or biological cures for this one.
I can sow some more parsley and put it in another part of the garden
Funny thing - all ours has been going to seed for weeks & we've been hacking it back but, recently, we've found that the shoots are actually more tender & tasty than the leaves.
