Title: Tomato Question number 2.
Post by: TomGood on August 15, 2005, 19:12:36
Hi again everyone!!

A couple of the flowers on my tomatoes have withered and I think it is because they have not pollinated.  I have heard something on here about pollinating with a paintbrush.  What exactly is the technique?  What do I do?

Thanks again for the help.

Insects will pollinate for you  :) I don't think you'll have to resort to getting your paintbrush out  :)

Tom, are they inside or out?  If outside, you may have run out of time, because even if tomatoes do form, they will not have time to turn red :(.  Unless of course you're growing them specifically to produce green tomato chutney ;)

Hi all!!!  The tom plants are in the greenhouse.  We definitely started them too late!!  What sort of time is best for next year?  Thanks.
