Title: Heavy rain
Post by: amphibian on August 12, 2005, 14:27:06
Yesterday I sowed a bed of carrots, beets, onions and radish. Now the forcast for tomorrow is torrential rain. Do I need to do anything to protect my bed from the rain, or will it be okay?

the rain will do them some good provided we don't get floods.

Might be worthwhile covering them in fleece so the rain drips through rather than impacting with the soils's surface and scattering seeds everywhere.
