;D Tee hee ;D Make my day ;D I was thinking the same but I can boast that my "Big Max" is a massive size of a small tennis ball :-[ ;D so maybe still time B4 the yobs knick em ;D
:D Have to say, equally pathetic then Roy !!  ;D  Where have we been going wrong I wonder ???  ::)
:o Well mine s on a Shiite heap, thought it would have bolted by now, it's certainly taking over the plot runner wise :o
Give it plenty of water and tomatoe food and pray for a mild autumn. Pimpkins are hungry plants.

mine have thrived upon neglect but they have been grown through black plastic so perhaps that helped.
Seem to be having more luck with the pumpkins than the squashes this year. I've a football sized Tom Fox + the Baby Bear are doing well.
The Juane de Paris has failed to set fruit yet but is romping well. Only one Blue Hubbard plant left (others slugged) + that's not even flowered. Butternuts a total wash out.
Do squashes need better weather than pumpkins does anyone know?
interesting about the baby bear. my efforts have been tiring - massive trouble germinating baby bear then it hasnt really taken off on the plot, and i now have one tennis sized one, with no further fruit in sight. as i now have a severe case of mildew, all my squash plants are suffering so prolly wont get any more off this plant.
my buttercups have been great - three massive ones right now and a couple of smaller fruit - though some again affected by the mildew.
the spag.veg squash looks good - but again i lost one fruit.
anyways, what i meant to say is that i wont bother with baby bear next year but be trying out the uchiki kuri :)
Thanks everyone for the advice ;D Have been feeding and watering it well. Stopped the growing tip now, so fingers crossed the little beasties don't munch my one and only fruit ! ::)Â
Diana - suprised that your pumpkin jaune de paris hasn't set fruit yet... ours are now 50cm across! (we have 2 on one plant) Once they set they grew very fast. Have you tried feeding them with tomorite or similar?
Thanks WSL
I have feed + kept well watered + there's no shortage of polinators. Have even tried hand polinating. Will look again this evening.
Any chance of a pic of yours as consolation?
D
I will try to take a pic and post it - but I am a technophobe.
That's OK, we're all here to support + the key thing is you've admitted it ;)
Seriously though, it would be great to see, but please don't stress yourself out on my behalf
D
How did the tiny pumpkin in the picture turn out MaggieD???
