Politics apart.
Overdue - & then some - agonising - night landing - strange air base - & a WOMAN pilot.
Give the girl a medal!!
And remember - dead-stick landing - no second chance!
Brilliant I say Tim! Well done her ;D
We watched the one go up after the 1st crash at an American airbase, was sooooooooo exciting.
oh yes!
there's something about astronauts that makes me feel so proud of them no matter where they're from.
i think i'll go and listen to the moody blues 'nights in white satin' to celebrate!
i do love a happy ending ;D
No medal for a man doing the same job then Tim, eh?
Ciaran
I think the whole team are wonderful God Bless them, so glad they landed safely, can breathe a sigh of relief now had my doubts for their safety at one stage.
I received a medal once, Tim, in a spot landing conest at Aberdeen - wasn't aware that there was a contest; would have missed it by yards had I known I was being watched!
In a parachute??
Ciaran - the chaps have had their days of glory.
Negative. Cherokee. Surprise, though, that the landing of the Shuttle had to be "visual" with all this "fly by wire" technology about.
Two medals, then??
The nearest I got to yours was a Tripacer - v. nice!!
