Hmm ???

Mineral deficiency?  Are the skins tough? Heat related?

I've got the same problem with aubergines - dull dull dull

Well Try Conditions. Cold May and a frosty may, dry weather, warm june, cooler july and a little less sun. I think it is the cold snap in may that has set everything back. I am exactly the same as you! The allotment ones are not worth mentioning. The ones at home have good trusses but small green tomatoes.

Dont Panic you aint the only one.

Variety?

My rosadel are quite matt, the gardener's delight are shinier.  All of them taste nice though!  :)

John Hawkins  - beef - & it's only the early trusses. The shiney one is the same variety.
