Title: Tinted poly carbonate
Post by: sjg12 on August 05, 2005, 19:04:46
Passed a skip the other night which had 4 sheets of double wall ploy carbonate sticking out of it 2 sheets 6ft x 4ft and two 6ft x 3ft had a look at it today and it's tinted would it be any good for a cold frame or to make cloches out of ?????

I don't know if the tinting would block out too much light / UV

That "tinting" is probably a peel-off protective sheet which comes with all polycarb sheeting.  Go and get it quick ;D ;D ;D It's great stuff.  Very strong and drillable and you can cut it with a good saw or an electric jigsaw.  It will make you a cloche or frame lid etc

Once you get the hang of this lotty lark, skip raiding becomes second nature.  Anyone on here would have had that away sharpish  ;D
