Title: ZONE ALARM 6
Post by: WASSISNAME on August 05, 2005, 16:58:01
There is an update to Zone Alarm 6 available, BUT Members on other website forums that I frequent, that have downloaded it have found it to be unstable. An article from Fred Langa, the author of the Langa List has suggested that it should not be downloaded straight away but to wait a few weeks for the bugs to be sorted out, as I am sure that they will be.

It is a firewall - i.e. used to control what programs can access the internet and what programs from the internet can access your computer.

Thanks Dot - I know OH has installed a firewall et al on our PC but not sure what it is.  Will have a look at that site too.

an alternative Free Firewall is Kerio http://www.dslextreme.com/users/surferslim/tpf.html

Here's a "how to set it up" http://www.geocities.com/yosponge/4firewal.html

Kerio (free) seems to work ok for me (I don't use the M$ one nor the ZA)
