would love to see some photos when they hatch :)
Hi
i notice that you hatch welsummer eggs and i have ten in the incubator that are due to hatch on saturday. I have read somewhere that the day old chicks have different colour stripes around there eyes so for a day or two you can tell who's a boy and who's a girl. Do you have any idea which one has which colour?!!!!!
I hadn't heard that about Welsummers but would be interested to know, we only had one chick survive from 6 eggs (1 died and the others didn't hatch).
sorry ramoth this is my first tine hatching welsummers would like to know as well. i would like to get into showing birds so any advice would be helpful
ok thanks anyway. if i find out i will let you know.

it turned out rhodie wasn't broody after all which is a shame as i now have 10 eggs without a broody hen may just have to fork out for incubator
Hi Linesman,
The Bach Flower Remedy called "Mimulus" is an excellent remedy for fears of all kinds and is well suited to the the description you have given of your dog's demeanour. :)
You can purchase it at any Holland & Barrett or Boots store.
Week 1 :- 2 drops in the bottom of her water bowl then fill with water do this 3 times a day.
Week 2 :- 2 drops twice a day.
Week 3 :- 2 drops once a day. (in the evening)
Our dowager Becky is a rescue dog from the local Cat & Dog Home. When we got her at first she was skin and bone and if some one raised their voice she wet the carpet and ran into a corner trembling. I started her on the Mimulus remedy and the difference it made was remarkable.
That was 11 years ago, now if any one raises their voice she is up like a shot barking at the culprit. ;D
She is the guardian of the peace, this suits me fine as my offspring take more cognisance of her displeasure than of mine. ;D
                          PREMTAL

They both look really healthy and so cute :D How many hatched linesman and from how many eggs? Our only welsummer to hatch appears to be a cockerel, I was hoping it would be a hen so we could keep it.
sadly only the two welsummers out of 7 hatched
one light sussex dead in shell rest must have been infertile
i think both are pullets heres hoping
come home from work to find i chick had hatched in the incubator
