Hi all
Thought I'd better introduce myself - I've been lurking on here for a little while. Just got my allotment on Monday - it's covered in weeds so we're going up on Saturday to work out where to start!!
Sure I'll have plenty of questions - hopefully one day I'll actually be able to give some answers as well!!

welcome aboard, sal.:)
Hi Sal :)
Welcome - it's a very steep learning curve so giving answers will come quicker than you think it will.
Hi Sal, welcome aboard! :D
How do Sal.
I've eaten scorzonera flowers y'know. Or were they salsify...?
welcome!
again, hi sal ;D
have a read thru some of the other newbie posts where there's lots of advice on starting out. we only joined when we got our plot at the end of june and thanks to this site we have loads of stuff growing to harvest thru the winter. (bah humbug to all the garden centre peeps who said i was too late to sow and should dig all winter to be ready for spring)
you're gonna love it here!

That's why you always find 'em near beds!
Daveandtara It seems that the usual advice to newbies from the garden centres etc is don't plant anything til next year. That's absolutely the last thing you want to hear. You want to PLANT SOMETHING NOW!!!! ;D
Hi SallyA welcome to A4A Nice friendly site and lots of people with loads of advice. Lorna.

Hi Windy Sorry to hear about your bad back - that's terrible for you. You must have been in agony - probably still are :( Take it easy :)
Hi Wardy, thanks, plenty of painkillers and TLC from otherhalf and kids helps (wish one of them could make a nice cup of tea) :P :P and then kaci my granddaughter (bless) three yrs old, granddad when you getting up to play with me, made me CRY :'( :'( :'( so granddad had to try :'( :'(
still thanks again
windy :D ;) :)
Hello Windygale.. Do hope the pain in your back eases, but take it easy. I cringe every time someone tells me they have a slipped disc., so painfiul. Years ago when we had pigs I tried to pull a sow up who hadn't got up after farrowing. Silly me. Should have waited until the husband and son came home. After all these years I am very careful about lifting etc. Get well soon. Lorna.
