Post by: katynewbie on August 02, 2005, 22:18:15
Bear in mind that I am a computer thingywit ;D
How do I see the pics which are a red cross in a white box? Right click and "show picture" does not work.
Feel I am missing out on lovely pics of peoples plots etc :-[
Hope someone can help ???

What browser are you using - Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla etc.
Are you running a firewall?

Are you talking all pics or just the odd few? if the latter then I get this and put it down to peeps not being precise when typing the URL links or whatever they are called ::) :P ;D that will affect all of us. ;D I think? ???

:) Katy we can allow you the odd peep :o ;D But getting back to the prob of Photo with a cross, I dunno ::) ;D maybe as Red said about a Firewall? try turning it off and check the photo's again, if that works then twiddle with the Firewall gizmo's, I haven't a clue what I'm talking about but if it works let me know. ;D

Good luck ;)

Sorry - got called away but I see that Roy is looking after you.

Do what Roy says with the firewall - if that does allow pictures (this site imports pictures rather than hosts them and a firewall may object to this)  then there will be a setting inside the firewall that will need changing - it is a case of trying each to see what works.

When I had a problem with images I was advised to start using Mozilla instead of IE.  http://www.mozilla.org/  It has become my default browser but I do need IE for some web pages that are not compatible with Mozilla.
