Ice Cream Sandwiches

Sandwich a scoop of ice cream between 2 store-bought cookies; roll sides in “M&M’s” or your favourite sweets.  Wrap and store in freezer.

We have got a fondue set ( don't cringe - there's a good bit coming), we take to to camp for the cubs and have chocolate dipped marshmallows, grapes and pineapple chuncks.  They love them, I only eat the marshmallows as I don't get chocolate and fruit.  Anyone else not do that combo?

Great!  I have just decided that I desperately need to go on a diet, and you do this to me!  We do sometimes have marshmallows over the barby...but the kids like melting them, but not so keen on eating them, so mummy has to force herself to help out  :P.

Going to defo do the ice cream thing as a treat for the kids over the holidays! ;D

We were on the beach in France one year, and this enormous family with aunts, uncles and about 20 kids had lunch. At the end of some serious eating - bread, sausage, apples etc. their grandpere dished out biscuits to all of them, but I noticed they weren't eating them, they all sat there patiently waiting. Then he went round with a huge canister of squirty cream which he dolloped about 6" high onto each biscuit.
So much for grand French cuisine!!!

Tee hee Jenny  ;D        I once went to a fondue party in the 70's like you did in them days  ;D  They had squares of ginger and chocolate cake to dip in their choccy, rum and cream fondue, oh and chunks of banana, lumps or orange as well.  Yum  :)

Have you tried barbequed banana?  You place them on the barbie until the skins are totally blackened. Then you release the banana into your bowl..careful now as it is hot hot hot!  You then add a dollop of ice cream and a HUGE squirt of squirty cream. Yum yum!

Wardy, my mouth is watering - think we might still have the fondue set under the stairs somewhere, along with the hubbies platform shoes...

It's even better if you split the skin lengthwise first and add a dash of liqueur of your choice... or chocolate sauce... before wrapping back up in foil and putting on barbie.

At our Hort Soc Annual Barbeque one of the members brings a selection of different liqueurs and spirits in hypodermic syringes for our 'special bananas'.

Malibu, brandy, rum, baileys etc.

Blow the choccy!

I did try the bananas for the cubs but as the skin went black they voted with their eyes and didn't even taste them.  Kids eh ?
