Title: Security on plot
Post by: TEL on July 28, 2005, 16:59:44
Have been looking at other Lotti sites on the net & most have some sort of security.
The only security on my site is if a would be thief was to slip on a slug.
Just interested to know if yours are good or like mine the slug.

Ours has locking main gates, lots of hawthorn and brambles to deter unwelcome visitors, and individually locking plots. Doesnt work though, we still get intruders.

Hmmm.....nothing, nada, nowt, zilch!  Not a gate, not a fence.....more likely to be bombarded by woodpeckers than slugs though.

My site has a decent gate at last, but the fence has holes in. They're going to be putting a second gate at the top of the lane soon, which should help to keep most of the intruders out.

we have a 5ft fence and locking gate (with holes in) although to be honest, round here if you put a high fence up the kids assume you must have something worth nicking and consider it a challenge  :D

Ours has a brand new 8ft steel fence around half of the Lottie and the remainder has a 6ft fence ::) (Tight Council) it also now, thanks to us lottie peeps, has anti climb paint on the tops of the fence with signs to protect the perpetrator, don't want to damage their clothes do we. ::) :P ;D

Trouble is, things being under lock and key especially sheds makes criminals more inquisitive, mine was left unlocked and my neighbours locked, he's was vandalised, the taps had their heads ripped off also, as did the concrete slab that was cemented on top of the stand pipe enclosure. :o ::)

We have no security on our plots.  The main lotty shed is locked but thieves did break in once and pinch the big machines which they had set out to do.  No vandalism though which is wonderful.  Long may , who has two immaculate plots, and would be down on them like a ton of bricks if they did do anything
One of the hang em and flog em brigade  ;D
