Title: Does this make me sad??
Post by: katynewbie on July 25, 2005, 17:54:48
Just got back from holiday and been down to the lottie. I have 4, yes 4, radishes!!!! The first things I have grown and I am beside myself with excitement!! Gave them to my Mum cos I hate them, but she says they are the best radishes she has eaten for 70 years (she is 84). Had to tell someone.....sorry to be pathetic ;D

Result!  Four or fifty four it don't matter - it's still great to grown your own isn't it.  Glad your ma liked em  :)  I don't like radishes either but felt compelled to eat them because I'd grown them.  So what's next then KT - plant spuds for Christmas dinner or some sprouts?  Once you've started you'll not be able to stop

By the way no-one on here will think you're a saddo.  We know we are  ;D  Only jokin :)  There's nowt sad about lottying when you're eating all those delish crops and saving yourself a fortune  :)

Lol ;) ;) ;) Aint no stoppin me now!! Lollo Rosso is two inches high and there are beans growing on the runner plants given to me on my first day. Fine crop of weeds too :'(
But given that I have only had the plot since June 16th and the weeds were chest high I think I am doing ok.
Hope this gives some encouragement to other newbies!!
Maybe we could have a "Triumphs and Disasters" section on here!!
