Title: Smile for the day! Small boy .....
Post by: flowerlady on July 23, 2005, 19:47:14
Small boy came onto the plot today.

He asked me - "Where can I buy raspberry seeds from?"  Bless ... ;D

Any suggestions for failproof varieties of fruit that he can grow?

Strawberries or huckleberries maybe, the latter being annual so not long to wait for fruit

Alpine strawberries (mignonette) as they give little fruits for a long time and you can grow them in a pot.

I agree with alpine strawberries - my son regards them as a kind of fruity sweet! And they're just the right size for small mouths!
