Look what went over our bungalow a couple of nights ago. It looked so good against the clear blue evening sky that I just had to snap it :D Always fancied a ride in a balloon but I understand that it is up to about £200 for the privilege :o Anyone ever had this experience :)

One came down in the field opposite me the other day :) It must be wonderful to float in the air like that but I would be a bit scared if we made an unscheduled landing due to being becalmed or some such thing :o
We had one drift over our roof a couple of weeks back. Amazing sight, the kids couldn't believe their eyes! We often see them floating around the skies between Chelmsford and Braintree. Never done it, and to be honest, it has never appealed, bit of a lily livered chicken!
A few years ago, we missed the photo of all times. No camera. (Always take a camera - even to record your accident?)
One evening, at the top of our hill in the Cotswolds, the balloon race came over - dozens of them - and, for one reason or another, there was a collection of Morris dancers doing their thing amongst the cow-parsley on the roadside.
We could have made a mint on that??
Oh, at one time, we called to a 'passer-by' & invited them in for tea!!
How strange ! Yesterday only, one landed in the car boot field just up the road and frightened the people so much, they called the police ::) ??? Can't see why myself.
I think they look majestic and beautiful in the sky. Yes the privilege is very costly, £100 is the latest I heard but you certainly would not get me in one of them, never ! LOL
Beautiful photo Gardengirl - thanks :D ;D
What a beautiful photograph. I think hot air balloons are wonderful, but I've never been in one (I'm a tad scared of flying and balloons leave me quite queesy!). It was a dream of my mums so for her 60th birthday we gave her and dad tickets. They said that it was absolutely incredible.
We get quite a lot of hot air balloons over our house because they take off from close by. They usually go over fairly early in the morning, and look so romantic, peaceful, beautiful.... Oh one day!
That is a super photo and No,. I have not been up in a hot air balloon. We don't see any these parts, think folk go up to Edinburgh for the priveledge or thereabouts. I would love to go up in one but think it would have to have a little girls room attached to it, knowing me.....
:o :o :o :o :o
