Title: Picklenet
Post by: Doris_Pinks on July 16, 2005, 14:26:15
Picklenet seems to have dissapeared into cyberspace, it was a handy website, with interesting recipes, but I have not been able to get into it for months now. :'(

Anyone know of any other good pickling sites out there?

Thanks  DP

You could try
htttp://www.hookerycookery.com/pick-menu.htm

Can recommend the Runner bean Chutney - sounds odd but it is good.

These are completely unchartered waters for me.  I have had a Kilner jar unused in my house for 25 years but I fear it's time I got it off the shelf, dusted it off and filled it with something wonderful.  I think it will be beetroot as I've already cooked some and dipped it in vingegar (malt, yuck) with sugar dissolved in it.  Not very good but at least it's spurred me on to try and get it right so as to do justice to the beetroot  ;D   I roasted some beets a la Wozza and that was lovely.  The world of pickling beckons I fear  ;D
