Title: EARWIGS
Post by: tim on July 14, 2005, 09:35:54
Holes in Aub & Pepper leaves - & fruit - more likely to be earwigs than slugs.

Set traps early on.

earwigs are detrivores, they mainly eat decaying matter and therefore play a part in the nitrogen cycle.  they do however occaisonally nibble on living plant material.  they're like most people, good most of the time.

I haven't seen an earwig for years in the garden, at one time they used to be everywhere, think they must've died out here.or hiding very well.
