Title: Flower part of the lottie again.
Post by: ina on July 13, 2005, 23:27:26
It was such a lovely morning at the allotment, I just want to share a bit of it with you.

Here you can see the train go by the allotment. It's a dubble decker train and I understand you don't have those in England.

Thanks all, we are pretty pleased with it ourselves this year. I think most of you have a garden by your house which we don't. It would be so nice to just hop into the garden whenever you please whithout a 20 minute bike ride, especially in the morning for the first cup.

As a matter of fact Roy, I have been thinking about a swing bench with cushions but there's no space in the shed and vandals would have a ball with it, if it wasn't stolen first. Even 20 new fence posts we had delivered (because we don't have a car) were stolen in a few days after arrival and they were stored behind the shed, out of view. I hate to think it was someone from the lottie complex but who else would know that we had them if they didn't see us move them on a cart from the entrance to our lottie on the far end of the complex?

We do enjoy our time off on the terrace in the lottie garden, surrounded by flowers. Of course it takes a lot of work but we get so much more out of it as well as from the veggie plot.

It's a shame really as we have to put aside what shits we have around us. It's a bit like the London bombers, (not wishing to sound flippent) they won't scare us off because we are not afraid, we will carry on as normal and replenish anything that has been destroyed and carry on doing so till needs must. >:(
