Post by: return of the mac on July 12, 2005, 23:22:58
Just got my power devil cordless strimmer through the post. Only 30 quid from amazon. Very excited about kicking some weed a** with it. As i was putting it together in the kitchen i accidentally switched it on- family was nae happy.

Lorna, why not use shears? a lot less hassle with transporting and expense and a lot quieter for the environment :)

Roy. Good idea and have done it with shears BUT the last time I used the shears my sciatica set in and took me ages to straighten up (Ha Ha :o) It would only take me five mins with a strimmer. The kids would always do it but it is just something I like to do myself. I suppose another idea would be to get long handled shears, I assume they are about.. Will have a think about that.. No problem regarding transport there is only me and the pest (dog) in the car. Regards Lorna.
