Post by: shaolin101 on July 12, 2005, 16:51:36
if i take a clove of garlic and stick it in a pot of compst, will it grow into a bulb of garlic?

And do i need to take the purple skin off first and just plant the white flesh part?

Thanks

yes a clove will produce a bulb in time

you leave the immediate skin on the clove. just like you have have broken it off the bulb.

My garlic, japanese onions and shallots all go in at the same time, around November time.  ;D
