Title: slow growing peppers&aubergines
Post by: KT on July 08, 2005, 14:15:59
I grow some peppers&aubergines under cloches and also in a coldframe with the top opened.

Recently I noticed that the peppers now have some flower buds on them which I'm really pleased about :D,but the aubergines are still pretty small and haven't grown much since I planted out early in June.  :'( Not even during that freaky heat wave!

Sometimes I use some diluted seaweed extract in the hope that it'll perk them up.

I'm worried that they may never bare any fruit before the end of the summer....

Ours were planted out in a cold 'house at the end of May & are only just flowering.

As soon as yours flower, feed them with a tomato fertiliser.

Don`t worry-bags of time for them to get cropping yet.

Thank you guys.

There's some good news.today I found tiny buds on the peppers...hurrah! ;D and also on the aubergines.

As soon as they flower,I'll start feeding them with a  tom feed.

KT ,

I'm pleased you asked that, as my peppers have not

flowered as yet. Mine are in an unheated greenhouse.

I think I shall transfer some to a south facing cold frame

on my lottie and see how they progress.
