This souns naff - but I find that an old wooden chopstick is great for making holes in compost to insert cuttings.
:) Not at all naff I find them very useful for all sorts of things in garden & greenhouse. :) :)
Not naff, those and wooden skewers make handy little 'bamboos' for little floppy plants! ;D
I used mine to prop up my sunflower seedlings ! ;D :D AND they make excellent dibbers ! ;D
:) I also use them when taking cuttings, I stick one in middle of pot as a support then pop it in poly bag, that way you don't get the wet polythene touching the plant & causing rot. :)
I also find them a novel way of eating noodles! ;D
;D Well there is that EJ ;D ;D
I don't have chop sticks so have to use a pencil...for making holes that is , not for eating noodles.
See, I always knew I bought about a dozen sets of chopsticks from the charity shop for a reason and not just that they only cost 30p - well that really was the reason but don't tell anyone.
Now I shall go and tell OH that we no longer need to have a feast and invite all the neighbours just to use them ;D
lol...yes a girl after my own heart. I bought some containers....because they were cheap, I've finally found a use for them. I've washed and chopped all the fruit and put them in the fridge. instead of a plate with cling film round. ;D I knew they'd come in useful ;)
Yes Val but why is it I can never find things like long lengths of wood or things in skips that I can make reaaaalllly big impressive things out of. ??? My OH thinks I'm really embarrassing and won't get me go and rummage. Sometimes it is the size that counts....
