Hi all!! :o
I have just been given some climbing french bean plants which are about 8 inches high!!
Is it ok to plant these out now or is it too late?
Nobbs xx ???
PLANT THEM - PLANT THEM - PLANT THEM - what have you got to lose (well beans obviously but you know what I mean!)
Plottie :)
Plant them. I have just sown another lot of french bean seeds so it will be a few weeks before they are 8 inches high!
Just planted my Borlotti plants on the plot today and am about to sow more Frenchies! DP
I planted my borlotti you sent me on the weekend too DP! :)
Also planted the couple of pathetic blue lake seedlings that were the only ones that came up, and tried direct sowing a few too.
They'll grow like crazy.
My last sowing was wednesday last week and 60% are now over 4" high.
... slugs...
Plant them out and they'll be OK. I'm giving away my spares at the moment.
Get em in theyll be alright

French beans can still be sown up unitl Mid August I think as they do not need pollinaters they will continue to produce until the frost gets them.
We are still planting our French Beans out. We thought we would stagger them this year, as we couldn't keep up last year. So far looking good!  :) busy_lizzie
Right if its a dry evening tommorrow I'm be planting em - thanx all!!
