Title: Train ride
Post by: ACE on July 03, 2005, 21:40:17
I had to take a one way trip to Derby last week on the train. Boring you might think. Not really it seemed to me as we pulled into or away from most stations that the railway lines are great places to see the countries allotments, I've seen them all the way from the south coast to the midlands and most of the plots are well looked after. I wonder that the greengrocers are still in business by the amount of food that is growing in these places. Keep up the good work all you allotment holders.

I shall have to tell you why I had to take a one way trip. I rode my new harley back ;D

I'm not missing the point at all, I just prefer a bike built for GO not for SHOW 8)

I'm with you Merry.  Never did like those Harleys - typical of America to produce them I think.  Much prefer a good British, Italian or Japanese bike.  Triumph are the ideal (i drive a Rover)  For that reason I also would not touch a BMW (bike or car) with a bargepole.

PS those sofas on wheels that Honda call Goldwings are a def no no too.

Whatever floats your boat  :). Seeing as 200mph superbikes are wasted* on our roads, I'd rather have something a bit more laid back, ta. Not to mention the by far superior engine note (IMHO). But then I like Bolinder diesels too...

*allegedly

Well that stirred them up didn't it. But if I had wanted something smooth, sleek and covered in plastic, I would have got a surf board ;D
