Title: Hanging Baskets
Post by: sandersj89 on July 02, 2005, 22:35:17
I am going for a simpler theme this year based around fuchsias and Petunias with a few other bits and bobs mixed in.

Beautiful baskets Jerry.  I adore fuchsias but not too keen on the petunias (all that dead heading)  Mind you had a beautiful one last year (petunia) that smelt heavenly.  What variety fuchsia is the last one  ???

Oooh they are lovely! I've never done well with hanging baskets but my tomatoes look good in them this year! Well done!

Lubley!  Always plan to do them, never do!  I shall just have to admire yours instead!  At least I don't have to do the watering.  ;D

I have tried the mini Petunia 'Million Bells' this year.  Planted this half wall container with just one plant and a couple of mixed lobelia and was quite pleased with the result.

I help with our local in bloom and we flog million bells and basket plants.  The MB's last for ages and are always in flower.  Lovely pics everyone.  I don't do baskets as I live atop a windy hill and they get blasted to death  :(
Our group does all the baskets in our town and the longest lasting plant seems to be the fibrous begonia and we have some more muted shades this year of pinks and creams and they are lovely.  I'm going out in blooming in a minute so will take a few pics.  I can't post at the mo as I keep getting that annoying error message but will try  :)

Hi GARDEN GIR MB's have been on my list for a couple of years but somehow I have bypassed them DEFINATELY having them next year. Loved your basket. Thanks for showing.

Sandersj89  Your baskets are lovely, although I have several baskets each year I am dissapointed with mine this year, maybe due to the fact that they were not put out until quite late due to the cold winds round here.. I am a real fuchsia lover. Thanks for sharing.
