Well Roy, you may consider yourself a
'bit of a drip', but a bit harsh on the rest of us !!  :D ;) ;D
What a great photo Di :) A competition winner if ever I saw one ;) ;D
Many thanks for the compliments ;D
I'd just love to know why spiders always end up in the bath !! :D
And why, even my most macho 17 year old son always screeches hysterically ......... " Mum! Help! Quick! There's a mega huge spider in the bath !! "   ::)  ;)  ;D
Those are Tegenaria, the House Spider. There are three species, one of which is particularly large and hairy. They go wandering at this time of year, perhaps looking for a mate or somewhere to lay eggs - I'm not sure. If they land in the bath they can't get out. I get huge ones in empty beehives, which are really useful for discouraging wax moth.
OH has to deal with 'The Eight Legged Freak' extras that all seem to hang out at ours now that their film careers are over ;D
Down on the lottie though I'm just refusing to notice anything vaguely arachnid unless it lands on me and says boo - or I'd simply never set foot on there :( Great for me as an organic gardener I know, but hard on the nerves when you're scared of them!
Great picture by the way - I don't mind the webs when they're that pretty (and empty, of course!)
How wonderful Di ! Like little bits of crystal, :D :)
Beautiful pic Di!
