Title: It's no choke
Post by: AndrewB on June 29, 2005, 21:15:16
I have about 8 globe artichoke plants and a few have plenty of healthy leaves but no chokes.  Has anyone any idea why and what I can do?  I moved them a few months ago and they weren't happy for a while but seem to have recovered and at least half have nice big chokes.

Leave them to it until next year!  I have a row of plants, and 3 or 4 didn't do anything other than grow lots of lovely leaves.  They will be the first to do their thing next year as they are putting heaps of energy into root growth.
