do not i repeat do not buy buckets. get them for free from your local supermarket where they sell flowers. most supermarkets scrap them so will be willing to give you them for free. if not morrisons sell them very cheap, about 20 buckets for 15 pence
That's me to Morrison's come August when I visit the UK. Ta!
Me, I scavange skips for empty 10L paint pots and use them for planting up my chestnut trees...
Going to need lots next winter, as I went a bit mental last autumn and potted around 50 nuts, most of which came up!
Ciaran
Chestnut trees? What do you do with them?
I've got a supply of lidded buckets from the engineering department of the university here - don't know what is delivered in them but they are great and the guy hates to throw anything away.
Also, see the thread about kitchen compostables - mayo etc buckets from a sandwich bar!!
Surbiton Waitrose weren't quite so customer friendly as Morrisons.
They told me to buy my own, and said they keep theirs.
No "Good Life" round here in the bucket department - so I liberated two pallets on my way out. Hope they need them!
Hey Im surbiton too !!
Wheres your plot ? Lower marsh lane ???
Don't tell him, Trenchy....he's after nicking your pallets.
Maybe the buckets thing is going to be a non-starter, but pallet heaven has just been discovered at the back of the service road by the PO Sorting Office....
Loads of different types and all stacked up ready for loading..
.. couldn't see any cameras, but who'd put cameras on pallets? All plain - no blue ones.
Hook Rec Allotments.
