Title: What is the best soap to use.

I have both green & black fly on my sprouts.

Which is the best soap to use

Fairy Liquid
Soap powder
Sugar soap

What have you all used to get the best results.

I find Dove keeps me nice and smooth  ::) but as for the aphids........

I think most household soaps are not recommended as insecticidal sprays due to the chemicals used in the manufacture.

Also technically it would be illegal to spray something like Fairy Liquid as it is not licensed for such use. (But who would know in the real world?)

Has any one got a cheaper alternative.

Your right about the bathwater, the amount of dirt and grime that come off my two little one its more like a liquid feed.

I use soft soap which is £4.50 a tub. It's recommended for gardens. You could also try rhubarb tea.
