Post by: Val on June 21, 2005, 16:16:11
I've got it on my apple tree..at least I think its wooly aphid, I've tried to jet it off, but not much luck. Can anyone help and tell me how to get rid, the tree is only small and I don't want it weakened before it has time to grow properley.Thanks.

Unless there are huge numbers, then the normal method is to dab each one with a cotton bud soaked in methylated spirits. If there are lots then you will have to increase the pressure of the water spray until it does wash them off, but without damaging the bark!
