Title: Help, weird tomato diesease?
Post by: Greenfingers Jo on June 18, 2005, 17:03:54
I have looked at my toms today while staking them up I've noticed some cream/ white spikey growths on the bottom two inches. There are about 3 I've found so far. I've looked in my books but can find nothing.
Does anybody know what it is?
I've isolated them in case its something nasty.  ??? ???

Thanks
Jo

Hooray, thank you so much. I've got 60 + plants and didn't want to lose them.
Have just had some yummy spuds for tea last night onthe BBQ wrapped in foil with  some olive oil and home grown rosemary. ;)
So much for the diet!!!!

60?? You, Emma & the rest seem to grow commercially but , with my modest planting, I'm the one who gets the 'whatdoyoudowiththem' dig!!

Well this tomato grower is a very happy (tempting fate) chappee at the moment.  All of the tom plants on the allotment are growing like crazy, covered in flowers, and loads of fruitlets already!  The ones in the greenhouse, tall as you like, covered in flowers, but the fruitlets are teeny in comparison!  Hoping for a blight free, or at least, late blight year this year.
