There are two of us in our 'ouse, one of us planted these and the other, namely me, has apparently lost the label!? ??? ??? All I know is that they are bulbs and at present the flower heads are approx 3' tall. Er Indoors will be pleased if you can name this plant.
Thanks Foz

Save your life with the info that your plant is Nectaroscordium siculum subspecies bulgaricum.
Wow, it is a pretty amazing plant with a pretty amazing name!
And a pretty amazing scent ( like a daphne to my mind) and a pretty amazing ability to spread round your garden too.
Wow never seen anything like it ! :o Very nice indeed.
;)
Thank you all for replies, do not see how label could have got lost it must have been quite large for such a long name!.

Hi Fozzie. It's an ornamental onion and self seeds with gay abandon when happy. I've got one that's popped up in the pot with my lilium regale so is standing up proud and straight using their support. The ones I planted out in the garden flop all over the place at the slightest bit of wind. Still like them though.
Mine aren't doing very well this year for some reason, but previously they've been on the way to becoming weeds; they seed like mad any chance they get.
i am sure i have heard it called honeybells - astonishing as they whiff more of garlic. fabulous though, aren't they?
