knows its dead hard giving up, i tried hypnosis, gum. patches, lozengers, zyban, the doceven gave me prozac.. but a tw*t I remained... but now iz free and world andeverything so much better also me yang is up with me yin and getting down wiv the whole balance thang.

Oh god, I'm a tw*t!!!!
I managed 46.5 hours (yes, I was counting) but was losing it at work and so gave in on way home. Have now smoked 7 fags and managed a mythology class in between.
Am starting again tomorrow, this time with conviction (and some carrot sticks) - it's bludy hard it is....but I WILL DO IT :( (determined face).
Shamed.....
MM, I really sympathise with you. I smoked from the age of 14 up until about 28. I finally gave up for good when I decided I wanted babies, but boy was it hard, and I miss it ever darn day! Ava and I couldn't give up at the same time, we tried and I nearly killed him!! When the time is right, you will do it, and you will feel better for it. The biggest hurdle for me was the pub, how can you go into a pub and not smoke?!? Go on girl, you know we are all behind you, and Oz is your giver upper coach!
p.s. as soon as they put vitamin C in it..........I'm starting again! ;)
I reckon I just need to get pregnant - so many of me friends have given up cos they were preggy, seems only way to do it...

Come on Mystic you CAN do it.When i quit 17 months since i went cold turkey cut down to 4 per day gradually by thinking as i was smoking each one.This cigarette could give me cancer and i dont want to die yet i enjoy my life too much.OK i still want one occasionally but i know that i wont have one as long as i keep that thought in my mind.Incidentally i had smoked about 20(and more) a day for about 40 years.
BB, that gives me something to think about - I've been smoking 20 a day for about 18 yrs, and if you can do it, then I can.
Have been psyching myself up all evening, every f*g I smoke, I tell myself that I don't need to do it, I think it's working. Went for a run tonight, all the time telling myself it'll be so much more enjoyable (and easier) without the nasty yurk clogging up me arteries and lungs. Feel quite focused now so gonna go for the big push tomorrow - am going to do a visualisation thingy tonight before I go to sleep (self hypnosis if you like) so that I wake up a bona fide non-smoker.
Sorted - last f*g pencilled in for 10:30, will say goodbye to smoking therein....

I forgot to say that i am about to go for an hours walk in the wood to get some proper fresh air into my lungs.I do this each day now as a reward to them for suffering all that pollution for so long.I can breath cleary now the smoke has gone.aaahhh wonderful.
