Talking to a customer today I discovered he was an avid gardener and we had a guided tour of his two greenhouses. He had some wonderful tomatoes and gave me details of the Company he dealt with...
He sowed me their catalogue and boy what a selection..not just tomatoes but the choice of pepers too, all graded as to strength (HHH+) ;)
I just had to share it with you (apologies if I am teaching you to suck eggs)

Thanks, that looks interesting, have saved it to my favourites. The peppers look good and the heat guide really useful.
Thanks Derek!! Put it in favourites too, ready for next season! ;D ;D Lottie
Having shopped with them for YEARS - I can wholly recommend Colin, Jane & Matt as being the BEST!! ENGLISH, & a small, devoted & personal business.
Have I not said this before - many times??
PS That was said in a jocular mood, u-p - maybe I should employ the dreaded smilies? That'll be the day!
I'm always appreciative of advice, not been here long, so to many of us this is new. Thanks Derek. ;DLottie
Grumpy ;)
Went to the Chilli Fiesta down in West Dean, Sussex last year which was when I came across Simpsons Seeds. Ordered chilli, tomato and sunflower seeds from them for this year which have all been fantastic - really high germination rate. Very nice people to speak to too! Incidentally the Chilli Fiesta was great fun too.
A nice range and a nice approachable site - although it could do with a bit more description. I have just had a look at 'beans' and it does not say whether they are runners, french or broad etc. Now I know some beans but, being a newbie, if I want to try something different, I need a bit of help. Otherwise I might come on here and ask a daft question like 'What's an Aquadulce Claudia?' I know it says in the details page what they are, but if I am after a different runner, I do not want to be wasting my time on clicking said 'Aquadulce Claudia'.
As I said nice site and I hope they read this and make it even better.
If I have missed something and just made a complete idiot of myself, ignore this post and pretend I wasn't here.
Thanks for the link derek...saved for next year!!
Clanger - I've mailed them your comment.
Thanks, we'll give them a go next year. :)
Thanks Tim - should have though of doing that myself.
I will be using simpsons next year- the prices are good as well.
Mark
I sent for a catalogue yesterday..that way I can browse at anytime, anywhere...bit like the Cinzano adverts of yesteryear. ;)
Thanks Tim...it is always nice to get positive comments about suppliers
I was so excited when I made my original post the spelling is awful...forgot to spell check...what a silly boy
Derek
There's loads of good stuff there, and I like the prices.
Derek,
Thanks for the link, their website is new - details added to my website
Phil
Thanks Derek - looks good, will also be giving them a try
Those interested in older varieties of veg (and flowers) - with details of where they came from and lots more should look at Thomas Etty Esq's site at www.thomasetty.co.uk (http://www.thomasetty.co.uk) - the URL has changed if you already have it bookmarked
Phil
Over 30 varieties of tomatoes
And a big PLUS? They do plants of many things.
I always back-up my own sowings with theirs.
Thanks Phil - I have updated my bookmark.
PS - they could do with an online ordering sytem.
RC,
On-line ordering systems tend to be supplied by companies which charge for the priveledge - Thomas Etty is a small company
