Title: Tattie Scones
Post by: Diesel on June 13, 2005, 11:56:42
Any scottish members got a good recipie for tattie scones?
I find it hard to get any decent ones in England so I have to stock up when I make trips back home.
I had a recipie from a website but it was using american measures rather than metric.

My recipe is very similar to Greenwizard.

1 lb self raising flour
12 oz Mashed potato
salt and pepper
4 oz melted butter.
Milk to make firm dough.

Combine all ingredients.
Shape into small rounds
cook on a griddle or frying pan till golden.
