Hello!
Well, with a little help I have finished gravelling in my flower garden. It is finally looking like a proper garden! I still have a lot of home-grown bedding plants to go out, so it should get even flowerier, but even so far with the roses starting to bloom I am very pleased! The valerian btw, I grew from seed last year. It is very tall, I didn't expect that, but hey-ho, it looks nice anyhow. ;D

Overview from bedroom window. You can tell the gardener is arthritic - too tired to put away the hosepipe before taking the pictures. LOL. ::)
Absolutely gorgeous Charlotte.
Lovely garden.
Couldn't upload to that mp3 site. I even texted Chris, but no joy. I think he gave up on me? As far as administraters, in my humble opinion. Dan's the man.
Thanks for the feedback on the songs. Don't get me wrong..I loved every minute of the sessions.
Your songs are growing on me..is it the season?
;D ;D ;D ;D
looking fab CS ;D ;D
post again when all your bedding is blooming :) :)
Oh wow!
Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I love the island bed and its edging. :o ;D :D
Fabulous! Love looking at other peoples gardens and seeing what they do with their patch of mother earth. It is a good size garden and loads of colour already! Like the edging and would really like something to edge my beds to make mowing a bit easier, but worry about the kids doing themselves a mischeif! Pesky sproggles interferring with my gardening! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D
Absolutely breathtaking Charlotte! What gorgeous and rich planting schemes !
Thanks for showing. :D
A very lovely garden indeed. ;D
A very interesting and very beautiful garden Charlotte, well done to you.
lovely garden lots of colour welldone
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! ;D ;D ;D
The edging (bricks) is more out of necessity - we are totally skint. I'd prefer some half-sunk rockery stones, but hey - the bricks are OK. And very very cheap (ie. FREE!). They'll do for now.
Wonderful garden Charlotte. Beautiful plants and colours and really interesting shapes and textures. :) busy_lizzie
really lovely garden Charlotte. I like the edging too - gives me ideas! I think the valerian looks good there!
How big is it?
;D Really lovely CS, you have put in allot of work there & well worth the effort ;D would love to see a pic when bedding is in flower ;D ;D
Just love valerian.
And had you not been 'skint', I would have suggested a coil hose - no putting away. Nothing heavy. But slow output.

On my wish list - along with wheelbarrow, more link-a-bord, fleece and a couple of agaves. ;)
And HOW have I already run out of beanpoles?!!! ::)
looks grand keep up the good work :D
What a lovely garden Charlotte. Thank you very much for sharing (I'm so nosey - I love to see other people's gardens!)
Nice one
Just spotted this. Couldn'see your rosemary hedge! Seriously it looks lovely. This is a bit like going round yellow book gardens without leaving the house. Excellent for when it is raining.
Charlotte ! I have masses of beanpoles which you can have ! If you don't live too far from me, I will bring them up - Do let me know.
;) :D
Wow Charlotte,
simply beautiful. Think of the work, the effort, the sweat.... ah it's all been worth it.

Oh that's really kind Marianne ;D, however your profile says you're in Hertfordshire, which is probably a bit too far away. :(

I am a fellow skip scavenger! I got really lucky about 4 years ago - a skip brimming with florist buckets and large flower pots! I swear I get the same buzz out of economy and prudence that many folks get out of expensive shopping sprees. Could certainly teach the GW lot a bit about gardening on a tight budget. LOL
What a shame Charlotte ! :-\ Whereabouts do you live ??
Hope things are OK. ;) :D
Marianne - I'm in Ladywell, South-East London (near Lewisham).
Aww what a shame ! That is like half the way round the M25 :o
If they weren't so long, I would post them to you !
So sorry Charlotte.
:) :D
Yes, it would be expensive to post them! I have a friend in the USA who breeds horses. She tells me there is all the manure I could possibly want there. We did joke that she could send some over in jiffy bags - imagine that! :P hee hee
why can't I see the pictures :'( shouldn't there be a link there or something? can't see anything to click on......want to look at your garden Charlotte pleeeeese...H.P.
